Yesterday was CM's birthday so I treated her to a dinner this evening at JOED's Lutong Hapon, a hole-in-the-wall Japanese carinderia in Mabolo which she has long wanted to try out ever since I mentioned it to her.
We both had beef teriyakidon, kani salad and sushi mix.

Surprisingly, we still had some room for dessert after that heavy dinner so we headed off to the nearby The Gallery and indulged in The Pantry's Mint Cookies n' Cream ice cream cake and Chocolate Lovers ice cream pie.

I first learned about The Pantry on cable tv's RCTV 36. That gave me an idea to get GC's from this deli/dessert place as Yuletide presents for my friends. They offer sausages, sandwiches, salad, cupcakes and the sinful ice cream cakes and pies. Bottles of capers, olives and tuna as well as wine and bread are up for grabs, too. There are just too many yummy choices that we decided to have them one meal at a time in the coming months. And we're looking forward to our Breakfast at The Pantry soon.
