There's Something About Sunday

What is it about Sunday? Is it that easy, laidback feeling when the sunlight hits your face as you wake up in the morning? Or the feel of the cool breeze on your slightly sweaty skin as you jog around? That carefree morning sipping a cup of your choice of hot beverage while reading the day's paper with strains of old favourite music in the background? Is it the meals and fun times shared by family and friends? Or just some time alone for introspection before the start of a long week?

Whatever it is, there is something about Sunday to be celebrated and what better way than by chilling out, shooting breezes and enjoying home-cooked dishes with feel-good music.

Sandwiched in a row of houses and establishments is a two-storey quaint nook called There's Something About Sunday. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, merienda and supper.  You've got the usual breakfast plates, all-time favourite Filipino dishes, pasta, salad, steak and ribs, desserts, and coolers, too. Relatively, it's reasonably priced.

I had this for brunch. US Minute Steak in Mushroom Gravy with rice and vegetables. Paired with red iced tea.

And what makes the dining an even nicer experience? It's when you look around and you see the dainty designs and the lovely accents on the wall (the cafe is Instagram-worthy). Plus that cozy feeling as you enjoy your food in your own corner.
