Little Souls Sisters Convent in Tagaytay

Tagaytay is home to chapels, convents and retreat houses of various religious congregations. In one of our visits to Tagaytay, my friend DAMGT suggested that we go to the Little Souls Sisters Convent where she would sometimes attend mass. I also welcomed the visit to the chapel since it was at that time when I would drop by churches and chapels in my travels and storm the heavens with prayers for my friend who had an ailment, in the hope that she will be cured or at the very least, be in remission.

The Little Souls Sisters Convent is located off Mahogany Avenue. The chapel, considerable in size, is tinged with peach.  It reminded me of the Pink Sisters Convent with its high grills and balustrades that separated the altar from the church pews. On the side of the chapel, there is a corner where you can write your petitions and offer your prayer requests.

We attended the 6:00 P.M. mass and it was very solemn. Lights were dimmed come communion time. And during the communion, we had to kneel before the balustrades (similar to the practice that we had in church when I was still a kid). It was also during the mass when one can view the Sacred Crucifix.

The Little Souls Sisters is composed of the contemplative sisters of the Order of Little Souls of the Merciful Heart of Jesus whose aim is to make Jesus better known and loved in the true spirit of littleness. It was founded in Chevremont, Belgium by Margeruite who received messages from Jesus.
