Calda Pizza (Home of the 36" pizza)

My favourite pizza in Cebu City, no doubt, is Calda Pizza. This was introduced to me in 2008 by my classmate whose relative owns the said food venture.

From the space they shared with a grill resto along Salinas Drive to the kiosk next to the 24-hour convenience store (on the same ground where the resto grill formerly stood), Calda Pizza is growing with several branches in Metro Cebu. They started the 36-inch Xtra Super-sized pizza in the city.

I am glad that they now have a branch close to where I live and work.

I love the thin crust and the generous toppings and most especially when it is served hot, fresh from the oven. Ah... my taste buds shooting up to high heavens. It does not leave a greasy taste na nakakaumay.

Their bestseller is the Calda (tomato sauce, mozarella, ground beef, ham, salami, onions and green bell pepper). The 20-inch XL-sized pizza can feed a dozen mouths. At Php 500.00, it's worth it.

They also have:
Etna (ham)
Hawaiian (pineapple and ham)
Capricciosa (salami and mushrooms)
Milanese (chicken fillet, ham, onions and green bell pepper)
Succulenta (anchovies, capers, mushrooms, black olives and roasted garlic)
Bolognese (ground beef, mushrooms and onions)
Filipiniana (chorizo, ground beef, onions, green bell pepper and roasted garlic)
Pepperoni (pepperoni, black olives and mushrooms)
Carousela (bacon, ham, ground beef, mushrooms and onions)
Modena (chicken, pork and beef strips, mushrooms, onions and BBQ sauce)
Roma (ground beef, Italian sausage, salami, mushrooms and green bell peppers)
Granchi (bacon, pepperoni, smoked sausage and mushrooms)
Napoletana (Italian sausage, pepperoni, ham, mushrooms and green bell peppers)
Veneto (Hungarian, Italian and smoked sausages and black olives)
Filetto (beef and pork fillet, mushrooms and Bernaise sauce)
Quattro Stagione (combination of Bolognese, Etna, Hawaiian and Calda)

The pizza comes in five sizes: regular (10"), family (15"), XL (20"), Super (30") and Xtra Super (36").

So what are you waiting for? Grab your phone, punch in (032) 5112688 and have a yummy pizza delivered right at your doorstep. Or you can watch 'em prepare your pizza right before your very eyes. Visit the Main Calda on Salinas Drive in Lahug (just before University of the Southern Philippines) or their branch along R. Aboitiz Street (next to St. Theresa's College).

Buon appetito!
